Steak & Potatoes (The fried egg is icing on the cake)
I love sharing these short recipes with you guys and this one is as delicious as they come, plus it takes less than 30 minutes to make.
500 grams of Steak (I used a 2inch thick Rib Eye)
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 teaspoon dry seasoning, of your choice
12 baby potatoes, quartered
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups broccoli
1 garlic clove, chopped
Rosemary - optional
Salt & Pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Toss the potatoes and broccoli with garlic and olive oil then season with rosemary, salt and pepper. Place on center rack of oven and roast 20 minutes, until just the veggies are tender.
Meanwhile, heat a non-stick pan and add the butter and crushed garlic. Season your steak on both sides with salt and pepper. Sear the steak in the butter for 2 minutes on one side and then flip and cook for two minutes on the other side. This will give you a medium rare steak, you can cook it to your preferred doneness.
Leave the steak to rest and fry the eggs in the left over cooking fat. Once the potatoes are ready, serve with the Steak and Eggs and enjoy.
